Scent Profile - Peppermint, Eucalyptus, and French Lavender
The Great Race of Mercy
Togo the often-forgotten (Siberian-Husky) true hero of the Great Race of Mercy that delivered 300,000 units of life saving serum to the Diphtheria ridden town of Noem, AK in 1925.
Togo was 12 years old and was well past his prime as Leonard Seppala's best lead sled dog when he was put to his last and biggest test in the winter of 1925. Diphtheria had caused an epidemic in the town of Noem, AK especially affecting the children and getting the lifesaving serum from Anchorage was looking impossible with the bitter winter months ahead.
Togo led his team 170 miles in his leg of the journey (the largest distance covered by any team), crossing some of the most treacherous terrain along the way, such as Norton Sound. the Average temperature during the journey was -30 with gale force winds dipping the temps to -65. the entirety of the journey was a 674-mile round trip including 20 sled dog teams.
Togo was largely forgotten for his role as he was not the lead dog to cross the finish line and deliver the lifesaving serum to Noem, Balto was seen as the hero because of this act.

from 201 reviewsI forgot to add I'm a huge history nerd!! That's what drew to me to y'alls company in the first place!! Very cool!!!
Hi I just received the Kite and Key yesterday also the Jefferson ,I gotta say I really like the Kite and key the scent is awsome plus if feels great !! I'm sure I'll love the Jefferson as well!! The sticker and the little duck was a nice touch!! Will definitely be getting more oils and I really want to try y'alls butter too!! Thanks again from North Carolina!!😎
I enjoyed this scent. It is a unique one with the citrus and ozone. The vanilla helped balance it out as well
This one is Electric! Superb citrusy ozone profile that lasts a good while. The oil has a great carrier blend that feels great on the skin and in the whiskers!
Theory is a very subtle scent and is very pleasing. I use this one typically at nighttime as the scent doesn't carry over into the morning routine. Nourishes great and leaves my beard feeling healthy.
When I hear the word woodsy...this scent right here- Boone- is what I envision. This one smelled fantastic in the bottle, and once in my beard, it took it to the next level. Cedar, Spruce, Clary Sage, Vetiver...it's like the folks at Notable Beard read my mind. And you can smell the Juniper as well, and it blends in and adds to the experience. This one would fit nicely in the mainline. As I always say about Notable, their carrier oils and craftsmanship are second to none. If you want a soft, healthy beard and to smell like a boss, Get Some!
This scent is out of this world! The oil absorbs into skin and beard super quick with no residue. The citrus bergamot in this mixed with the ozone is a really good and unique combo that I love!! Possibly the scent of the year!
This scent is out of this world! The butter melts down without and absorbs into beard super quick with no residue. The citrus bergamot in this mixed with the ozone is a really good and unique combo that I love!!
I could have sworn I reviewed Red Tails when I bought it the first time, but here it is, better late than never. I had run out, so seeing this show up in my mailbox (along with the new limited Kite & Key... you need to get it before it is gone) gave me the warm fuzzies. I absolutely love this profile: Redwood, Amber, and Grapefruit. Those scents blend together to create an incredible, unmatched masculine scent. As always, Notable's carrier blend is great for the old chin curtain. If you haven't tried Evan's company, you need to. And if you are curious, check out my review for Kite & Key over on that page.
Well, Notable has done it again. Leaning into history as always with Kite & Key. Like all of Evan's concoctions, this is a unique scent that kind of invokes a memory. It hits with fruit up front with a pleasant sweetness, not syrupy sweet, but a very inviting scent. Beyond that, I get a bit of wood and mild vanilla wraps around and make it all work very well. If you are familiar with this company's products, you know this oil does its job wonderfully. If you have not tried Notable, you need to.
This scent right here is absolutely fantastic!
Do yourself a favor and pick it up, you will not be disappointed, I promise. Feel in beard is the best out there and shipping is extremely fast!
I get the tobacco and honey. It makes for a really nice smelling, light profile.
Such a fantastic cherry scented oil. Subtle enough to know it's there, without being overpowering.
My mom actually bought this for me as a gift from their store at Riverboat Days and I'm pretty picky about colognes and perfumes, but this stuff smells incredible! I get lots of compliments on it. I also bought the beard oil in the same scent and it seriously makes me feel so fresh and clean! It's an excellent masculine smell without being overpowering or too "musky."
Valley Forge scent is so splendidly winter! Cold and coniferous, with the exhilarating pop of peppermint AND tea tree! Butter is on the firmer side, offering both beard softening and a little hold. Melts down easily and smoothly and does a great job of ratcheting up the scent strength when paired with the Valley Forge oil!
