Ulysses S. Grant (born Hiram Ulysses Grant April 27, 1822 – July 23, 1885)
Grant was the 18th president of the United States and was the commanding General of the Union Army in the American Civil War.
Grant attended West Point; Ulysses was a hard name to pronounce so they began to call him U. S. Grant. It seemed fitting because those initials stood for Uncle Sam. Upon Graduating he served the US Army during the Mexican-American War. Grant Left the US Army for a time and returned to civilian life very impoverished.
The Civil War broke out with the attack on Ft. Sumter, NC. Grant then rejoined the Union Army and returned to battle to help preserve the union, Grants father was an avid Abolitionist, and he felt this is one thing he could do to help.
Grant found himself a capable leader to his men, winning victory after victory in the west of Kentucky, then at Shilo and then the Vicksburg Campaign. Many questioned Grants Tactics and his absurd drinking problem, but they could not deny his ability to get the wins the Union so desperately needed. After his demanding win over the Confederate forces at the battle of Chattanooga, Grant was Promoted to General of the Army of the Potomac.
On April 9th, 1865. Grant and Lee met at the Appomattox Courthouse and signed the Surrender of the Confederate States of America to the Union. Grant showed up in his dirty fatigues while Lee came with his dress Grays.

You're welcome, Evan😄😄. Someone commence with the online petition! I typically wear an oil once or twice before it winds up in the rotation, but Grant is so good, I found myself reaching for it over and over. I have skipped one day since getting it in beard! Notable's carrier blend is that good, and the scent is that good. The strength I would rate as medium to medium strong, and this one will truly stay with you for hours. So nicely blended, the tobacco isn't too strong, the dark woods too overpowering, nor the vanilla too sweet, Grant comes together perfectly and has been one of my favorite wears in a while. Excellently crafted, Evan - thank you for this exquisite beard oil product!
I love tobacco scents. Dark woods set the tone for the tobacco & vanilla. Very nice & smooth! Long lasting & definitely enjoy wearing it!

Over the last two years I have amassed over 350 different beard oil scents, this may well be the best scent I’ve ever had in my beard! The mahogany, tobacco and vanilla are blended perfectly to produce a deep, masculine incredibly smooth and sultry fragrance. These are all of my favorite scents thrown together in one beard oil. The scent is medium/strong and at the five hour mark is still very present. Add that to the fact that Notable’s carrier blend has always outperformed every other manufacturer’s in my gray beard, and I’m ready to proclaim, this is the best beard oil I own! This oil would be perfect had Evan not named it after a danged drunk Yankee…🤨. Seriously, do not pass on this one.
