Originally established in 1696 the London Docklands have been a very important Warf on the River Thames; at one time the London Docks were the largest Warf in the world with Companies such as East India Trading Company using the docks for their trade and commerce center.

The London Docks played a pivotal role for industry during the second world war, but due to their strategic need, the German Luftwaffe bombed them relentlessly during the Battle of Britain.

Today the London Docks are no longer use for the main port of London as they're too small to accommodate the large vessels that sail the seas today.
